Its background is built on \u003cem\u003eveitchiana\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ewurdackii\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ecoccinea\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eignea\u003c\/em\u003e, four of the main species behind the larger-flowered Masdevallia hybrids.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e'Blood Moon'\u003c\/strong\u003e has magenta-pink flowers that shade to coral-peach towards the centre, with deeper magenta veining and a magenta base.
