Turkel in 1992. As a direct cross of two species, Twinky sits close to the wild — the coccinea influence dominates the flower form, producing broad, rounded laterals fused into a cupped sepal body, while citrinella, a small-flowered Ecuadorian species from subsection Oscillantes, contributes the distinctive yellow tail tips that set Twinky apart from the typical coccinea colour forms. 'Apricot' has been selected for its warm apricot-salmon ground colour and clean tail expression. This is a division of that selected clone.

What to expect

Flowering: Single flowers on erect spikes held clear of the foliage.
