Recycling, Reusing & Composting

This page outlines the materials used to pack and dispatch orders from Belgrave Orchids.

We use packaging materials that are recyclable and/or compostable, selected to balance plant protection during transit with responsible material use. Wherever possible, materials are chosen so they can be reused, recycled, or composted through standard household or commercial systems.

Packaging choices are made at dispatch based on plant size, structure, and seasonal transport conditions.

All pots and labels used for our plants are made from PP5 recyclable plastic, which is widely accepted through Australian recycling programs when cleaned and sorted correctly. Information on PP5 recycling options is available here.

As part of normal dispatch operations, compostable packaging materials may be processed through appropriate domestic or commercial composting facilities. For general guidance on composting options, see Compost Revolution.
