Cymbidium Australian Dural Sunset 'Floyd's Choice' is a standard-size Cymbidium selected for its warm, sunset-toned flowers and clean upright spike habit. 'Floyd's Choice' is a named cultivar of the Australian Dural Sunset grex, noted for rich apricot-to-copper colouring with fine veining and a boldly patterned lip.

• Flowering: Winter to spring, once the plant reaches flowering size. Upright spikes carry multiple well-spaced flowers above the foliage.
• Flowers: Warm apricot to copper with fine veining and a yellow lip with deep red-bronze markings. Strong colour contrast and well-balanced form.
• Plant: Standard size.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well suited to southern Australian conditions, but not suitable for warm climates. It needs cool autumn nights to initiate spiking.
• Light: Bright filtered light. Use 30–50% shade cloth or dappled outdoor shade, and avoid direct midday sun.
• Humidity: Moderate to high.
• Water: Water freely during spring and summer growth. Reduce frequency in winter while keeping the medium just moist.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the growing season. Taper off through late autumn and winter.
