Cymbidium Hugh Gordon ‘Freckles’

Cymbidium Hugh Gordon 'Freckles' is a hybrid Cymbidium selected for flower quality and pronounced freckling across the petals and sepals. The Hugh Gordon grex is a well-regarded Australian hybrid; 'Freckles' is a cultivar named for and selected on the basis of its dense, clearly defined spotting pattern, which gives each flower a distinctive, high-contrast appearance.

What to expect

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Upright spikes carrying multiple flowers with distinctive freckling across the petals and sepals.
• Flowers: Balanced Cymbidium form with pronounced freckling and clear pattern definition. Flower colour and spike count may vary slightly with plant maturity and seasonal conditions.
• Plant: Compact to intermediate size. Supplied in a 66mm pot as an established growing plant.

Growing notes

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well-suited to southern Australian conditions. Requires cool autumn nights to initiate spiking.
