Cymbidium Kristianne Marie 'Kalimna' – Pendulous Hybrid is a compact mericlone Cymbidium hybrid selected for dense, floriferous presentation and strong colour contrast. The Kristianne Marie grex is an established Australian miniature hybrid; 'Kalimna' is a cultivar valued for its warm apricot-to-bronze flowers with a richly patterned pink and white splash lip, carried in tidy, well-filled sprays.

About this plant

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Pendulous to cascading spikes carry multiple flowers in dense sprays, which show well when displayed elevated or in hanging baskets.
• Flowers: Warm apricot to bronze with a richly patterned pink and white splash lip, giving clear colour contrast and a consistent flower form. As a mericlone, flowers should be consistent with the images shown.
• Size: Compact, miniature-flowered.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well suited to southern Australian conditions. It needs cool autumn nights to initiate spiking and is not suited to warm climates.
• Light: Bright filtered light: 30–50% shade cloth or dappled outdoor shade. Avoid direct midday sun.
• Humidity: Moderate to high.
• Water: Water freely during spring and summer growth. Reduce frequency in winter, keeping the medium just moist.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the growing season. Taper off through late autumn and winter.
