Cymbidium Kurralta Park 'Tennyson'

Cymbidium Kurralta Park 'Tennyson' is a standard-size mericlone Cymbidium hybrid with bold, richly coloured flowers on upright spikes. 'Tennyson' is a clone of the Kurralta Park grex, with deep rose-to-red blooms of substantial petal substance and a strongly marked lip.

About this plant

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Upright spikes carry multiple large, well-formed flowers.
• Flowers: Deep rose to red, with broad, rounded petals and a white lip with vivid crimson patterning. As a mericlone, flowers are consistent with the images shown.
• Plant: Standard size.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. It needs cool autumn nights to initiate spiking, and it is not suited to warm climates.
• Light: Bright filtered light. Use 30–50% shade cloth or dappled outdoor shade, and avoid direct midday sun.
• Humidity: Moderate to high.
• Water: Water freely during spring and summer growth. Reduce frequency in winter, keeping the medium just moist.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the growing season. Taper off through late autumn and winter.

What you'll receive

One SLC (single-lead clone) plant: a mericlone with a single lead, supplied as an established growing plant in a 66mm pot. It is not yet flowering size, so allow time for it to grow on before the first flowers. It is packed to protect the root system in transit and sent from the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
