Cymbidium Little Sarah ‘Pink Cascade’

Cymbidium Little Sarah 'Pink Cascade' is a miniature mericlone Cymbidium hybrid selected for its naturally cascading spike habit and soft pink flowers. The Little Sarah grex is a well-regarded Australian miniature hybrid; 'Pink Cascade' is valued for its compact size, fine flower detail and descending spikes.

About this plant

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Cascading spikes carry multiple flowers in arching to descending sprays, which show best when the plant is displayed elevated or in a hanging basket.
• Flowers: Pale pink with deeper pink markings and a lightly patterned central lip. As a mericlone, the flowers are consistent with the images shown.
• Plant: Miniature size.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well suited to southern Australian conditions, but not suitable for warm climates. It needs cool autumn nights to initiate spiking.
• Light: Bright filtered light. 30–50% shade cloth or dappled outdoor shade. Avoid direct midday sun.
• Humidity: Moderate to high.
• Water: Water freely during spring and summer growth. Reduce frequency in winter while keeping the medium just moist.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the growing season. Taper off through late autumn and winter.
