This hybrid is robust, combining high disease tolerance with a vigorous, upright growth habit.
Care Requirements
- Light: High light levels are crucial for promoting colour saturation and reliable flowering. Provide protection from the harsh midday sun to avoid burning.
- Temperature: Cool to Intermediate (10°C – 24°C). Consistent cool night temperatures (10°C-14°C) in Autumn are essential to initiate flower spikes.
- Watering: Water generously during the active Spring/Summer growth, allowing the mix to approach dryness briefly between sessions. Reduce watering significantly during Winter dormancy.
- Humidity: 50% to 70% is recommended. Excellent air circulation is vital, particularly when humidity is high.
- Potting: Use a free-draining, bark-based Cymbidium mix. This variety should be repotted every two years, or when the media begins to break down.
- Fertilizing: Apply high-nitrogen feed during the active growth phase. Switch to a high-potassium bloom-booster from late Summer to promote flower formation.
