Cymbidium Newbold Craigieburn 'NewBold HS' is a micro-miniature hybrid Cymbidium selected for its finely scaled flowers and naturally cascading spike habit. The Newbold Craigieburn grex sits within the miniature Cymbidium breeding tradition; 'NewBold HS' is a cultivar valued for its intricate flower detail, dense maroon spotting on a yellow-green ground, and floriferous cascading presentation.

What to expect

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Cascading spikes carrying multiple finely scaled flowers in descending sprays — effective when displayed elevated or in baskets.
• Flowers: Yellow-green with dense maroon spotting and a dark, richly patterned lip. Bold contrast at small scale. Flower colour and spike count may vary slightly with plant maturity and seasonal conditions.
• Plant: Micro-miniature size. Extremely compact. Supplied in a 66mm pot as an established growing plant.

Growing notes

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well-suited to southern Australian conditions. Requires cool autumn nights to initiate spiking.
