Cymbidium Royale Fare '#5' HCC/AOC is a standard-size mericlone Cymbidium hybrid selected for its lime-green flower colour and clean semi-upright spike habit. '#5' received a Highly Commended Certificate from the Australian Orchid Council, recognising the flower quality and colour clarity of this cultivar.

About this plant

• Flowering: Winter to spring. Semi-upright spikes carry multiple luminous green flowers in an open, well-structured arrangement.
• Flowers: Fresh lime-green with broad, smooth petals and a cream lip with burgundy spotting that creates a strong focal point. As a mericlone, flowers are consistent with the images shown.
• Plant: Standard size. This is a single-lead clone (SLC), a mericlone with one lead, and it is not yet flowering size.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Well suited to southern Australian conditions. It requires cool autumn nights to initiate spiking and is not suited to warm climates.
• Light: Bright filtered light. Use 30–50% shade cloth or dappled outdoor shade, and avoid direct midday sun.
• Humidity: Moderate to high.
• Water: Water freely during spring and summer growth. Reduce frequency in winter while keeping the medium just moist.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser fortnightly during the growing season. Taper off through late autumn and winter.
