Brighten your surroundings with Cymbidium Stone Free ‘Orange Gem’, a radiant Intermediate hybrid known for its vibrant, autumnal colours. The segments are a clean, golden orange, often displaying delicate red veins that deepen the intensity of the bloom. A bold, contrasting burgundy lip adds dramatic flair to each flower. This clone is prized for its long-lasting colour and remarkably easy-care nature, bringing a touch of warm, vibrant elegance to any setting.

Care Requirements

  • Light: High light is essential to achieve the radiant orange colouration and sturdy spike growth. Filter the most intense midday summer sun.
  • Temperature: Cool to Intermediate (10°C – 24°C). The essential night-time cool down (10°C-14°C in Autumn) is required for prolific flower initiation.
  • Watering: Water consistently and generously during the active Spring/Summer growth. Allow the potting mix to approach dryness between watering sessions. Reduce frequency significantly in Winter.
  • Humidity: 40% to 60%. Ensure strong, gentle air movement is provided year-round to support growth.
  • Potting: Use a free-draining, bark-based Cymbidium mix. Repotting is best done every 2–3 years, after the plant has finished flowering.
  • Fertilizing: Apply high-nitrogen feed during the Summer growth phase. Switch to a high-potassium bloom-booster from late Summer through Autumn to promote robust flower spikes.
