Dendrobium Bav's Beauty HCC — Aust Rose Beauty 'Pink Delight' × spec 'Superstar'

Dendrobium Bav's Beauty HCC is an Australian native Dendrobium seedling, a cross of Aust Rose Beauty 'Pink Delight' and speciosum 'Superstar'. It suits growers who want dense spring sprays in pink to yellow tones on a compact, upright hard-cane plant. This one is near flowering size (NFS), close to flowering but not yet at flowering size.

About this plant

Bav's Beauty is cross number 5159 and the grex carries an HCC. It is bred from Aust Rose Beauty 'Pink Delight', which contributes dense sprays of rose-pink flowers with white centres, and spec (speciosum) 'Superstar', which adds dense sprays of clear yellow flowers. The photograph shows the parent plants, not the seedling. Individual seedlings will vary in flower colour and form.

• Flowering: Spring, in dense, multi-flowered sprays.
• Flowers: Expected to range from rose-pink to yellow tones, drawing on both parents. Individual seedlings will vary.
• Plant: Compact, upright hard-cane habit.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Hardy and well suited to growing outdoors in southern Australia. Protect from frost.
• Light: Bright filtered light. Morning sun is beneficial; avoid harsh afternoon exposure.
• Water: Water freely during summer growth. Reduce significantly in autumn and winter, as a dry winter rest is important for flowering.
• Feeding: Balanced fertiliser during the growing season. Stop from late autumn through winter.

What you'll receive
