Dendrobium Brimbank Dark Night 'Adam' × Aust. Rose-Beauty 'Pink Delight' HCC/AOC is an Australian native Dendrobium seedling cross (cross number 5402). About this plant

Brimbank Dark Night 'Adam' is valued for its very deep, near-black purple flowers and compact upright canes. Aust. Rose-Beauty 'Pink Delight' HCC/AOC is an awarded cultivar recognised for its warm rose-pink flowers and refined form. The photographs show the parent plants. Individual seedlings will vary in flower colour and form.

• Flowering: Spring. Upright to arching spikes carry multiple flowers above the canes.
• Flowers: Expected deep purple to pink range, with the dark tones of Brimbank Dark Night possibly softened by the rose-pink of Aust. Rose-Beauty. Lip colour and patterning will vary from plant to plant.
• Plant: Compact, upright, hard-cane habit.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate, and it needs cool nights. Hardy and well suited to outdoor growing in southern Australia. Protect from frost.
• Light: Bright filtered light. Morning sun is beneficial; avoid harsh afternoon exposure.
• Water: Water freely during summer growth. Reduce significantly in autumn and winter, as a dry winter rest is important for flowering.
• Feeding: Balanced fertiliser during the growing season. Stop in late autumn through winter.
