About the Cross
The reverse of our Tweetie 'GD' × Memoria Jean Deas 'Dark' listing — same parents, seed and pollen roles swapped. Both are terete-leafed Dockrillia hybrids from the section Rhizobium group, and both carry Dendrobium fuliginosum in their background, which means this cross has a double dose of fuliginosum influence. That tends to push colour intensity, and with Memoria Jean Deas 'Dark' as the seed parent here — a clone selected for its particularly deep, spotted flowers — there's reasonable expectation of dark, richly marked results across the seedling batch. Plant habit should be compact and pendulous, suited to mounting or basket culture with good airflow. Individual seedlings will vary, as they always do with this kind of breeding, and that variation is part of what makes growing a batch worthwhile.
What You'll Receive
Established seedlings in 66mm pots, grown in the Dandenong Ranges. Not yet flowered. Individual results will vary — that's the nature of a seedling cross and part of what makes it worthwhile.
