Dracula Cyrano 'Silven Khantessa'

Dracula Cyrano 'Silven Khantessa' is a selected clone of this Dracula hybrid (D. chimaera × D. houtteana), valued for its large, heavily structured flowers and strong presence. The Cyrano grex combines the dramatic scale of chimaera with the dark patterning and mottled colouration of houtteana. 'Silven Khantessa' is a standout selection from this cross. Offered as an established division.

What to expect

• Flowering: Pendant spikes carrying flowers below the foliage, as is typical of the genus. Can flower multiple times per year under stable conditions.
• Flowers: Large, triangular flowers with a prominent fleshy lip and long tail extensions. Deep dusky colouration with mottled patterning across the sepals — dark maroon to brown tones with contrasting highlights. Strong substance and presence.
• Plant: Upright to arching growths with broad, pleated foliage. Vigorous under cool, humid conditions.

Growing notes

• Temperature: Cool-growing. Requires consistent cool conditions year-round, including cool summer nights. Not suited to warm or variable climates without active temperature control.
• Light: Bright filtered shade. No direct sun.
