Dracula sergioi is an epiphytic species from the cloud forests of Antioquia, Colombia, at elevations around 1950 metres. Named for Sergio Escobar, it produces a few successive flowers roughly 4cm wide across spring and fall. Offered as an established division.

What to expect

  • Flowering: Spring and fall. Successive flowers rather than all open at once, typical of the genus.
  • Flowers: Compact, around 4cm wide, in the characteristic triangular Dracula form with tailed sepals.
  • Plant: Compact, upright growth with pleated foliage. Vigorous under cool, stable conditions.

Growing notes

  • Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Requires stable, consistent conditions — avoid summer heat spikes.
  • Light: Partial shade to bright filtered light. No direct sun.
  • Water: Keep evenly moist at all times. No pseudobulbs — do not allow to dry out.
  • Humidity & air: High humidity with constant gentle air movement. Rainwater or RO water preferred.

Shipping & condition

Offered as an established division of Dracula sergioi. Best suited to growers able to maintain cool, stable conditions year-round. Buds and flowers cannot be guaranteed at time of shipping due to seasonal and environmental factors.
