Dracula severa

Dracula severa is a compact to medium-sized species characterised by darkly toned flowers with strong veining and a restrained, moody appearance typical of the genus.

Inflorescences emerge low on the plant and carry single to sequential blooms, with colouration ranging from deep maroon to near-black depending on clone and growing conditions. As with many Dracula species, individual flowers can vary in intensity and pattern.

This is a cool-growing orchid that performs best under stable conditions with high humidity, constant air movement, and protection from heat. Growth is steady when requirements are met but declines quickly if temperatures rise or humidity fluctuates.
