Masdevallia Kimballiana 'Yellow Doll' × urosalpinx is a cross of the awarded Kimballiana clone 'Yellow Doll' (M. caudata × M. veitchiana, Sanders 1893) with M. urosalpinx, a synonym of M. constricta.

What to expect

  • Flowering: Single blooms carried on erect spikes clear of the foliage.
  • Flowers: White to cream, with soft yellow shading through the dorsal sepal and tails, and a small red column at the centre.
  • Plant: Compact Masdevallia growth habit, suited to cool-growing collections.

Growing notes

  • Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Avoid sustained heat — this is the primary cause of failure with Masdevallia.
  • Light: Bright filtered shade. No direct midday sun.
  • Water: Keep evenly moist at all times. No pseudobulbs means no water reserves — do not allow to dry out.
  • Humidity & air: High humidity with constant gentle air movement. Rainwater or RO water preferred.

Shipping & condition
