Masdevallia Cha Cha Cha 'Foxy Lady'

Masdevallia Cha Cha Cha 'Foxy Lady' is a named, awarded clone of this P.L. Jackson hybrid (Masd. Pichincha × Masd. Marguerite), registered in 2010. 'Foxy Lady' was awarded in 2014 and is one of the more vigorous and free-flowering selections in the grex, with strong veitchiana influence producing notably large flowers for a compact Masdevallia. This is a division of that clone.

About this plant

• Flowering: Single blooms on erect spikes, capable of repeat flowering throughout the year under good conditions.
• Flowers: Large, broad-sepalled flowers in vivid orange-red with strong darker veining and bold tails. Substantial texture and good colour saturation.
• Plant: Compact Masdevallia habit, vigorous for the genus. A good choice for growers newer to cool-growing Masdevallia.

Growing conditions

• Temperature: Cool to intermediate, 5°C – 22°C. More forgiving than many Masdevallia, but sustained heat will cause problems. It needs cool nights and is not suited to warm climates.
• Light: Bright filtered light. No direct midday sun.
• Water: Keep evenly moist at all times. With no pseudobulbs there is no water storage, so do not allow it to dry out.
• Humidity & air: Humidity of 60% or higher, with constant gentle air movement. Rainwater or RO water preferred.

You will receive the clone 'Foxy Lady' as an established division of flowering size. Buds and flowers cannot be guaranteed at time of dispatch due to seasonal and environmental factors.
