Masdevallia (heathii 'Unicorn' × welischii 'Rip-Hoff') 'Unihoff' is a selected clone from this unregistered cross between two named cultivars. Masdevallia Heathii (M. ignea × M. veitchiana) 'Unicorn' contributes the bold orange tones and scale of the veitchiana line; M. welischii 'Rip-Hoff' — a Colombian species notable for its long, swept tails — contributes elegance of form and a pronounced tail extension. 'Unihoff' was selected for its vivid, symmetrical flower and clean proportional balance between body width and tail length.

What to expect

• Flowering: Single flowers on erect spikes, presented clearly above the foliage.
• Flowers: Vivid orange with clean symmetrical form and elongated swept tails. Strong colour saturation with a refined outline — a bold flower that still reads as precise rather than heavy.
• Plant: Compact Masdevallia habit, vigorous when cool conditions are met.
