Masdevallia King of Kings 'Bold Ruler' is a selected clone of this P.L. Jackson hybrid (Masdevallia Copper Queen × M. veitchiana), registered in 2003. The King of Kings grex produces some of the largest, most impactful flowers in the cool-growing Masdevallia world; 'Bold Ruler' is a clone selected for strong flower presence and a clean, elongated form.
What to expect
- Flowering: Single flowers on erect spikes held clearly above the foliage. Can carry multiple spikes on well-established plants.
- Flowers: Large, saturated orange flowers with strong elongated form and good substance. A bold, striking flower with the scale that defines the King of Kings grex.
- Plant: Compact Masdevallia habit, vigorous when cool conditions are met.
