The King of Kings grex produces some of the largest, most impactful flowers in the cool-growing Masdevallia world; 'Bold Ruler' is a clone selected for strong flower presence and a clean, elongated form.
About this plant
- Flowering: Single flowers on erect spikes held clearly above the foliage. Can carry multiple spikes on well-established plants.
- Flowers: Large, saturated orange flowers with strong elongated form and good substance. A bold, striking flower with the scale that defines the King of Kings grex.
- Plant: Compact Masdevallia habit, vigorous when cool conditions are met.
Growing conditions
- Temperature: Cool to intermediate, 5°C – 22°C. Cool nights are required. Avoid sustained warmth; not suited to warm climates.
