Masdevallia Sugar Baby × Angel Crest 'Toby Toes' is a named clonal selection from this unregistered hybrid cross, selected for its consistent flower form and outstanding display. When in bloom, 'Toby Toes' produces multiple stems simultaneously — each carrying flowers in white with bold magenta-purple striping running the length of the sepals, dense purple spotting across the face, and the long dark tails characteristic of its breeding.
The overall effect in full flower is one of the most floriferous and visually striking in the cool-growing collection — a well-grown plant produces a dense, upright mass of striped and spotted blooms well above the foliage. Angel Crest contributes the broad, open flower form while Sugar Baby keeps the plant compact and free-flowering.
A named clone, not a seedling — what you see in the photographs is what you get.
