Any orchid seedling coming out of flask needs time to adjust to open conditions. The transition from the sterile, humidity-controlled environment of a flask to a shadehouse or growing bench is one of the highest-risk points in a young plant's life. A humidity dome bridges that gap — maintaining the moisture the seedling was raised in while it establishes roots in its first growing medium.

The 90mm size suits individual seedlings or small flasks deflasked into their own pots. Once plants are actively rooting and pushing new growth consistently, the dome comes off and they move into standard growing conditions.
