Restrepia contorta is a tufted miniature epiphyte from Andean cloud forest. Its flowers are built around a broad synsepal, typically yellow to tan and marked with reddish spots or stripes, beneath a slender dorsal sepal and clubbed, antenna-like petals. Colour and markings vary from plant to plant.
What to expect
- Flowering: Single flowers produced one at a time from the base of the leaf; mature plants can flower over much of the year.
- Flowers: Spotted or striped synsepal with fine clubbed petals. Variable between plants.
- Plant: Compact and tufted, with leathery leaves on slender sheathed stems. No pseudobulbs.
- Breeding: Used as a parent in registered hybrids such as Restrepia Dannemarche.

Shipping & condition
