Sarcochilus Newbold Cannonball 'Delightful' × Nicky's Twin Bee's 'Bullseye' is an Australian Sarcochilus hybrid bred from two named cultivars. The bold central marking visible in the photographs is characteristic of the 'Bullseye' parentage. The photographs show the parent plants. Seedling flowers will draw on both parents and will vary between individual plants.

What to expect

  • Flowering: Short upright spikes in spring to early summer. Multiple flowers per spike held clear of the foliage.
  • Flowers: Expected to draw on both parents — white petals and sepals with a deep burgundy-red bullseye marking from Nicky's Twin Bee's 'Bullseye', combined with the form of Newbold Cannonball 'Delightful'. Exact colour and pattern will vary between individual plants.
  • Plant: Compact Sarcochilus habit with short, spreading root system suited to pot or mounted culture.

Growing notes

  • Temperature: Cool to intermediate. Avoid sustained heat. Grows well outdoors in the Dandenong Ranges and similar cool-temperate regions.
  • Light: Bright filtered shade. No direct midday sun.
  • Water: Keep evenly moist year-round. Unlike Dendrobium, Sarcochilus has no pseudobulbs and no dormancy — do not allow to dry out completely.
  • Feeding: Balanced fertiliser through spring and summer at reduced strength, with good air movement to reduce fungal risk.

Shipping & condition

Supplied in an 80mm pot as a seedling. Plants are grown on-site in the Dandenong Ranges and dispatched Monday to Wednesday. We ship plants only — not in flower — to reduce transit stress.
